Ask a question
Screen printing is not about slapping a photo on a garment. It's a technical process with many elements that allows us to achieve a quality result that will last for years, often outlasting the garment.
Take the time to read our most popular questions to ensure you get the ultimate screen printing experience.
How do I place an order?
No matter where you are in New Zealand, we can arrange your screen printing via email or phone. We'll advise you on the best garment and print options based on your needs and budget. Payments can be made online and we can courier to your desired address or collect from our reception.
Our easy process ensures there are no mis-communications and deadlines are met: QUOTE > PRINT VISUAL > PRINT > PAYMENT > DISPATCH
Can you print a photo onto a t-shirt?
Yes we can; however usually this question is followed by ‘I only want one’. If you’re printing a full colour design or photo then the screen set-up costs are quite high. If you’re doing a high quantity (100+) then the set-up costs can be dispersed over several garments making the price per garment acceptable. You could opt for a black and white photo print which would bring set-up costs down dramatically. Heat transfer may be an option.
What file formats do you prefer?
Vectored artwork always gives the sharpest print result. A vector is usually generated in a graphic design programme such as Adobe Illustrator. Anything done in photoshop (.psd, jpeg, jpg, gif, tiff) is an image. If you’ve got a logo created by a professional then you should have a suitable format for us to use. Occasionally we can get a suitable file from a PDF or .eps.

I've only got a rough sketch of my design.
We’ve turned some complicated sketches into sharp, vectored artwork with amazing results. Whanau reunions are a specialty and the end result is well worth the extra costs. We can estimate the cost of your design so talk to us first.
Do you only print on t-shirts and hoodies?
T-shirts and hoodies are our most popular garment item however we can print tea towels, cushion covers and fabric squares. We’ve printed pre-sewn dresses for a local fashion designer and custom wedding invitations on antique handkerchiefs too. Fabric type is the most important thing when passing through our heat dryers Bring your sample into our shop and well advise you of the best process for your fabric.
Do you do one-off garments?
Unfortunately no. While we’re quite capable of running a single t-shirt print, the time involved in setting up is far too costly on the customer. Basically, the more shirts you print, the cheaper it becomes. Some smaller jobs may be suitable for embroidery as an alternative.
A helpful tip to keep costs down on small orders is to try and keep the ink colours low as well.
